What Will Your Sponsorship Achieve?
Your sponsorship will enable individuals with a disability and their families to attend the Imagine More May Conference. Attendees of our past conferences have spoken about how inspirational and helpful it was to hear others share their successes in seeking a good life. They also enjoyed learning from Individuals with disability, families and professionals regarding social and educational inclusion, advocacy and the practical skills and knowledge required to make it all happen.
Your Sponsorship will also contribute to the employment of two support staff to assist individuals with a disability throughout the conference when needed and contribute to accessibility modifications.
Eligibility
Each sponsorship application will be assessed on its individual merits:
Potentially eligible sponsors must be aligned with activities that:
- promote opportunities for true inclusion
- increase the community’s understanding of inclusion and socially valued lives for people with a disability
- promote the community’s involvement in inclusion and providing socially valued roles for people with a disability
- promote skill development for people to manage funding and direct support
Potentially ineligible sponsors:
- Offer or support activities that promote congregation/segregation of people with a disability
- No grouped, segregated, congregated programs running within organisation, no group homes
- Offer traditional disability services
